Roll Up The Rim 2015 Prizes To Include TVs, Cars And A Bonus Roll

Posted: Updated:

Don’t flip your lids, Tim Hortons fans. Roll Up The Rim comes early for 2015, giving coffee drinkers the chance to win prizes starting on Monday, Feb. 2.

And just like last year, the contest will feature two chances to win. The bonus roll that Tims introduced in honour of its 50th anniversary last year is back.

Tims has added a new prize of 100 Smart TVs this year. However, the Napoleon grills are now a prize of the past.

Prizes for this year’s contest include:

- 50 Toyota Camry XSEs

- 100 55-inch LG OLED Smart TVs

- 25,000 $100 Tims gift cards

- Millions of food and beverage prizes

The second roll-up-the-rim spot offers the chance to win one of 100 $5,000 Visa gift cards. Last year the restaurant gave away 10 Toyota Corolla Sports in the bonus roll. But take note: It's impossible to win twice on one cup.

The company’s concurrent online contest is on again this year and runs until April 2.

Prizes for the Roll Up Roulette include:

- One Toyota Camry XSE

- Eight $1,000 Visa gift cards

- 1,100 $50 Tim gift cards

- 60 LG tablets; one awarded daily

The odds of winning at least a coffee or a doughnut are one-in-six. Winning cups are distributed by a third party and scattered throughout the cup cases, which are randomly distributed in an attempt to ensure no one restaurant gets more winning cups than another.

This year’s contest will run at stores across Canada and the U.S. until April 17 or until cup supplies last.

Roll Up The Rim began in 1986, when the most valuable giveaway was a snack pack of Timbits. The chain introduced its first vehicle giveaway two years later.

Tims says more than 580 million prizes have been claimed since the contest began, the equivalent of Canada’s population winning 17 times each.
