Chevy's Super Bowl 2015 Ad Is A Lesson In Masterclass Trolling

Chevy Nearly Gave People A Heart Attack With This Ad

When it comes to televised sporting events, few generate as much tension as the Super Bowl.

So, naturally, when you start to mess with viewers' Super Bowl's feeds, you're going to anger plenty of people. Case in point: Chevy's latest ad during the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots game.

What started as a regular aerial shot of the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona had people panicking after purple bars and disjointed audio started popping up on their screens.

Mild panic broke out over Twitter after some thought something had genuinely gone wrong with their television.

Okay that Chevy commercial was NOT funny

But if you kept watching past the black screen, it turns out nothing was wrong at all. Chevy just wanted to let people know their Chevy Colorado comes with built-in WI-FI. You know, in the event something actually does go wrong with your TV.

Not cool, Chevy. Not cool at all.
