One person dead after transport trucks collide south of Grande Prairie, Alberta

GRANDE PRAIRIE, Alta. - One person is dead after two transport trucks collided on Highway 40 in northwestern Alberta.

RCMP say the trucks crashed around 1:30 p.m. Monday near the Wapiti River bridge south of Grande Prairie.

The driver of one of the trucks was declared dead at the scene and the other driver was flown to hospital with unknown injuries.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

The crash delayed traffic on Highway 40.
