IFHT's 'Let's Make This Consensual' Video Is Goofy And Necessary

It's fun to get down — as long as both parties are, you know, down.

It's fun to get down — as long as both parties are, you know, down.

The latest video from Vancouver YouTube funnymen I F*cking Hate That (IFHT) takes on the rather serious topic of consent, and the result is equal parts entertaining and on point.

In the video, two boisterously dressed lads take turns rapping sweet nothings to their beautiful waitress, explaining what they'd like to do to her — that is, if she's OK with it.

"Let's make this thing sexual as long as it's consensual," they say.

Dancing around East Vancouver pizza joint Via Tevere, the guys point out that they've read books on gender studies and that they're "sensitive and delicate."

IFHT — the duo behind the massively viral "How To Be A Vancouverite — made "Let's Make This Consensual" in collaboration with fellow YouTubers Hoodwinked Films and Convos With My 2-Year-Old.

The video is great for a laugh, but it also serves as a necessary conversation starter. After all, perhaps the only thing sexier than humour is consent.
