Price of gas jumps for the third week in a row in New Brunswick

MONCTON, N.B. - For the third week in a row, the price of gasoline is up in New Brunswick.

The price for regular, self-serve gas has jumped 4.7 cents per litre.

The new maximum price is 99.2 cents per litre.

The cost of diesel and furnace oil has also shot up.

Diesel has increased 3.7 seven cents per litre and furnace oil is up 3.8 cents.

In Nova Scotia, gas prices rose by at least six cents Wednesday.

The price of regular, self-serve gas in the Halifax area is now 99.8 cents per litre.
