DRUMHELLER, Alta. - An aging zoo for cold-blooded critters in Alberta's Badlands is closing its doors following the seizure of almost all of its inhabitants.

The SPCA says more than 140 reptiles and amphibians were taken from Reptile World in Drumheller in recent weeks.

It says nine of the creatures had to be put down because of poor condition.

Reptile World says on its Facebook page that it is shutting down.

Just last month the zoo announced a $300,000 fundraising campaign.

An investigation continues, but no charges have been laid.
