Stars' Antoine Roussel suspended 2 games for cross-check

A vicious crosscheck by the Dallas Stars' Antoine Roussel on the Bruins' Adam McQuaid has led to a two-game suspension announced by the NHL on Thursday.

The incident occurred on Feb. 10 during the game in Boston at 3:43 of the first period. Roussel was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for his actions.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and based on his average annual salary, Roussel will forfeit $21,505.38. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
