4 arrested after roadside kidnapping: Peel Police

A police investigation into the a roadside kidnapping in the middle of the night in Brampton has resulted in four arrests, Peel police reported.

At approximately 4 a.m., a 32 year old Brampton man was driving home when he was stopped, forcibly removed from his vehicle and driven to a location near Uxbridge, where he was held captive for 15 hours and repeatedly assaulted, police say.

He was only released when he agreed to pay kidnappers. As soon as he was free, he went to 21 division and reported it to police. Peel police said that, after an extensive investigation, they charged the following men:

- Jonathon Kozuch, a 30 year-old resident of Uxbridge, was arrested and charged with kidnapping and forcible confinement.

- Mustafa Muhammed, a 31 year-old resident of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement, robbery, assault with a weapon and assault.

- Farogh Sadat, a 31 year-old resident of Vancouver, was arrested and charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement, robbery, assault with a weapon and assault.

- Zaban Fazal, a 39 year-old resident of Brampton, was arrested and charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement, robbery, assault with a weapon, assault and impersonating a police officer.

Police say their investigation will continue, and if anyone has any information about the incident to get in touch.
