Scarborough RT returns after shutdown, with delays

Trains are rolling again along the Scarborough RT track, but the TTC will continue to run shuttle buses along the line.

The buses are "supplementing service" on Line 3, beginning 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

A stalled train forced a total shutdown of the RT Tuesday. The TTC has blamed a mechanical problem on the shutdown.    Technicians needed to check the entire track — and all the trains — before resuming service.

Despite the restarting of the RT on Wednesday, smoke at track level at Midland station has delayed trains around rush hour.
