A water-pressure issue at a filtration plant in Longueuil has caused the city to put out a boil-water advisory for several South Shore municipalities.

The city said the problem is caused by a sudden drop in water pressure.

The areas affected by the boil-water advisory are:

- Old Longueuil.

- St-Bruno-de-Montarville.

- Boucherville.

- St-Hubert.

Authorities are asking residents to boil their water for at least one minute before consumption.

Residents can continue to shower, wash dishes and do laundry with their tap water.
