High-risk sex offender sought by Vancouver police

The Vancouver Police are looking for a high-risk sexual offender who has not returned to his halfway house.

39-year-old Jason Bresnahan has been unlawfully at large since the evening of Friday, Feb. 15.

He's now wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

Bresnahan is a federal offender on statutory release after serving a five-year sentence for several offences, including the sexual assault of the 12-year-old girl.

He has previous convictions for:

- Child pornography

- Assaults

- Threatening

- Property crime

Police says it is likely that Bresnahan will re-offend.

He's described as white, five feet 11 inches tall, weighing 270 pounds. He has very short brown hair and was last seen wearing a bright blue T-shirt.

Bresnahan has a tattoo of “Rae-Lene” on his right forearm, “Alison” on his left wrist and the number 13 on his right hand.

Officers are asking anyone who sees Bresnahan to avoid him and call Vancouver police.
