CALGARY - A man has admitted to two slayings related to a gang war in Calgary that went on for a decade.

Nathan Zuccherato has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the death of Kevin Ses and to the second-degree murder of Tina Kong.

The pair was gunned down at the Food Inn East restaurant in Calgary's northeast in 2008.

Ses was believed to be a “loose associate” of one of the gangs, while Kong was an innocent bystander.

Zuccherato also pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of another man who was shot in the skirmish.

Fellow gangster Thoai Van Luc pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter.

The two accused were charged in July 2013 following a police investigation dubbed Operation Desino. Five men were charged in six murders, including the slayings of two gang rivals and an innocent bystander at the Bolsa restaurant on New Year’s Day 2009.

That same month one of the accused turned on his former associates in exchange for an agreed sentence of 16 years.

Michael Roberto pleaded guilty to five charges of conspiring to commit murder and committing murder for the benefit or at the direction of a criminal organization.

He admitted to walking into the Bolsa restaurant and fatally shooting rival gang member Sanjeev Mann.

Another gang member, Aaron Bendle, and innocent bystander Keni S'ua were also killed.

The restaurant shootings were among many involving the criminal gang FOB and its sworn enemies the FOB Killers.
