The Best Red Carpet Looks Of The 2015 Award Season

Best Red Carpet Looks Of Award Season

Remember how Emma Stone nailed every red carpet look during the 2015 award season? She wasn't the only one.

Taylor Swift, Julianne Moore and Rosamund Pike were just some of the stylish stars who also vied for best-dressed this year. As for Lupita Nyong'o, one of the best dressed ladies of 2014? Well, with the help of Calvin Klein and 6,000 hand sewn pearls, she definitely topped our best-dressed list, once again.

With the 2015 award season finally over, we take a look at all the best red carpet looks at shows from the Golden Globes to the Oscars.

Award Season 2015 Red Carpet Looks

Lupita Nyong'o

The "12 Years a Slave" actress wore a breathtaking intricate pearl gown from Calvin Klein to the 2015 Oscars and we weren't the only ones who loved it . The dress, valued at $150,000, was stolen following the ceremony and subsequently returned sans two fake pearls. The stunning gown was arguably one of the best looks of award season, especially with Nyong'o at its helm, fake pearls or not.

Emma Stone

One of the most innovative looks during award season was Emma Stone's 2015 Golden Globes ensemble. The "Birdman" star wore a Lanvin jumpsuit that featured a glittery embellished top and a dramatic oversized bow that trailed majestically behind her.

Ciara

The Grammy Awards is known for having an unconventional red carpet (which is a delight to us fashion lovers). Celebrities love displaying their creative side on music's biggest night (never forget Lady Gaga's egg incubator) and this year, Ciara caused quite the stir on the Grammy red carpet wearing a black architectural Alexander Vauthier creation that looked like a stormy chic cloud.

Emma Stone

She may not have won an Oscar but the 26-year-old actress won big on the red carpet in a long-sleeve chartreuse Elie Saab gown. Every look she debuted this award season -- from her Christian Dior sheer gown at the 2015 SAGs to her oh-so-modern lace Monique Lhuillier frock at the Independent Spirit Awards -- landed her on best-dressed lists around the world. Her stylist, Petra Flannery, will probably get a raise this year for all her hard work!

Julianne Moore

Julianne Moore loves wearing bold colours to complement her red locks but at the 2015 Golden Globes, the "Still Alice" star opted for an ombré metallic gown that suited her perfectly. Not surprisingly, the Oscar winner found herself on the best-dressed list with the fish tail Givenchy dress that cascaded into an impressive plume of feathers.

Taylor Swift

The cat loving pop singer is always exciting to watch at an award show. As one of the biggest A-listers on the red carpet, Swift is likely to be the subject of catfights among designers clamouring to dress her. The 25-year-old channeled a very stylish mermaid at the Grammys, wearing a teal high-low gown by Elie Saab that stole our hearts.

Rosamund Pike

Rosamund Pike delivered a stunning performance as Amazing Amy in "Gone Girl," however her red carpet game was a little off this year. But at the 2015 Oscars? Girl blew us away. The red Givenchy gown showed off her fab figure and enviable legs, making us completely forget her past style mistakes.

Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson has been keeping a low profile lately but when she does make appearances, you can be sure she's going to make a statement. Hudson had a winning look during award season, wearing a revealing white Versace gown to the Golden Globes. The jaw dropping dress was literally held together with silver bands and featured a plunging neckline. She balanced out the super sexy look with a sophisticated bun, understated makeup and minimal jewellery.

Reese Witherspoon

The "Wild" actress knows just how to work the red carpet. Proof? Her elegant white one-shoulder Armani gown, complemented by a sleek ponytail, which she sported at the 2015 SAG Awards.

Neil Patrick Harris

Awkward, poorly timed jokes awarded Harris one of the worst Oscar hosting honours ever but you can't deny the man has style. The actor wore five tailored-to-perfection suit jackets and tuxedos throughout the Oscar telecast but we were partial to his first look: a cashmere grey tuxedo by Brunello Cucinelli.
