ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Just weeks prior to the provincial budget Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Paul Davis is talking about privatizing some government services.

Davis mused about the possibility during an address Thursday to the Rotary Club of St. John's.

Davis didn't offer specifics, but says he believes there is a greater role for the private sector to play.

He says in the case of long-term care, he believes private businesses can likely deliver services more effectively and efficiently.

Davis says the conversation around service delivery has been ongoing through the government's budget consultations.

He says it's about finding a balance in programs and services the government should and shouldn't provide. (VOCM)
