Veltman's fourth comes in overtime as Roughnecks edge Rush 12-11

EDMONTON - Daryl Veltman's fourth goal of the game came at 4:55 of overtime as the Calgary Roughnecks edged the host Edmonton Rush 12-11 on Sunday in National Lacrosse League action.

Curtis Dickson added three goals and two assists for the Roughnecks (2-7), who also got two goals and six helpers from Shawn Evans. Jeff Moleski, Karsen Leung and Jeff Shattler rounded out the Calgary attack while Shattler tacked on three assists for a four-point outing.

Robert Church and Zack Greer each had three goals and two assists for the Rush (4-4) as Mark Matthews put up two goals and five helpers. Riley Loewen, Jarrett Davis and Ben McIntosh also scored.

Mike Poulin stopped 41-of-51 for the Roughnecks in 64:31. Frankie Scigliano appeared for just 34 second for Calgary and allowed a goal on the only shot he faced. Aaron Bold turned away 36-of-48 shots for Edmonton.

Calgary went 3 for 4 on the power play while the Rush scored once on three chances with the man advantage.
