Shooting victim dumped on road in Surrey

A 28-year-old Langley man was shot in a vehicle, then dumped on 80th Avenue in Surrey, Wednesday night, according to Surrey RCMP. The shooting follows a string of targeted attacks in Surrey this week.

The shooting is the fifth that Surrey RCMP are investigating this week. Police have said the first three shootings were all connected, and the fourth is being investigated by the gang unit.

Police said they received calls about a shooting victim on 19300 Block of 80th Avenue just before midnight. They arrived to find several local residents helping the man, who was suffering serious injuries from a shot to the lower body.

The man was taken to hospital in stable condition. Police say the attack appears to have been targeted.

Surrey RCMP are asking for the public's assistance, and asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting, or may have seen the victim being pushed out of the vehicle or a vehicle driving away from the area are asked to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or to call Crime Stoppers.
