Vancouver police are investigating the deaths of two men at a hotel near the city's historic Chinatown.
Officers responded to the West Hotel at Carrall and East Pender Streets on Saturday around 9 p.m. and found a 24-year-old man who had been stabbed. He died at the scene, said a news release.
"As police made their way through the hotel, they were directed to a second man who was suffering from a life-threatening stab wound," said Vancouver police spokesman Randy Fincham in a statement.
The second victim, who was 37 years old, died in hospital.
The motive for the stabbing is unknown at this time and no arrests have been made in the case, said Fincham.
Both victims are known to the police, but their names are not being released, pending the notification of their families.
