Toronto police are searching for a female suspect after a hit-and-run near Lansdowne Avenue and Dupont Street, which was caught on video.

Police say a vehicle was rear-ended while stopped at a red light on Saturday, at about 3:30 p.m.

The driver and a passenger of the rear-ended car got out to exchange information with the other driver, who instead accelerated, striking both men, according to investigators at 11 Division.

The video, which appeared online later that day, shows a black pickup truck stopped behind a black compact car on Lansdowne. Three people are on the street, apparently talking to each other, the driver of the truck, and at least one other driver.

After about 30 seconds the truck accelerates, strikes the bystanders, and speeds away along Lansdowne and east on Dupont.

One of the two bystanders is seen clutching his leg and limping off the street, where the others attend to him.

Police say they have identified the suspect. She is wanted on charges including theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of assault with a weapon.
