Plane Grounded After Man Charges Cockpit Yelling 'Jihad,' Incident Caught On Video

CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Plane Passengers Bring Down Man Yelling 'Jihad!'

A United Airlines flight travelling to Denver had to return to Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. due to a disruptive passenger, according to NBC News.

United spokesman Luke Punzenberger told NBC that Flight 1074 returned to Dulles around 10:40 p.m. "after a passenger failed to comply with crew instructions" and was met by local law enforcement. He was taken off the plane and to a hospital for evaluation, said Kimberly Gibbs, a spokeswoman for Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.

Some passengers attest that an unruly man appeared to move toward the plane's cockpit before others tackled him to the ground. The man then told other flyers that he had brought a bomb with him, but a search allegedly didn't turn up any explosives.

Videos that Reddit commenters say came from the flight show a young man with a face wound apologizing as people hold him to the ground. Commenters on the thread claimed the man shouted "Jihad! Jihad!" before making a run at the cockpit.
