Winners Of The World Photography Organization's National Awards Will Stun You

The winners of the World Photography Organization's national competition were announced this week, with entries from 54 countries showcasing the best of what local photographers around the globe have to offer. Winners were awarded various prizes from Sony, which sponsored the event.

Between wide-sweeping landscapes, the minutiae of insects or incredibly personal moments captured in an instant, these photographs speak volumes about the human and natural experience. While many were taken outside the artists' homelands, their universality is undeniable.
