A Toronto police officer has been arrested and charged with failing to remain at the scene of a collision.

Police were called to a collision at 8 p.m. Tuesday on Adelaide Street East near Jarvis.

There were no injuries, but police say the driver of one of the vehicles drove away from the scene.

Charged with failure to remain is Const. Brandon Polak, 35, of the drug squad and a 13-year veteran of the force.

Police say he was off-duty when the collision happened.

He is scheduled to appear in court on April 29.
