Just last week, Canada’s telecom regulator, the CRTC, announced the end of mandatory channel bundling.
They also sounded the death knell of specialty channels, including MuchMusic and History, which are no longer required to showcase content exclusive to their genre (i.e. - MuchMusic doesn't have to air any more music videos if it doesn't choose to).
