Chilliwack RCMP seek suspect in a string of roberries

RCMP in Chilliwack are turning to the public for help finding an armed robber targeting small businesses.

Police say between March 17 and 23, someone robbed more than half a dozen corner stores, restaurants and markets in Chilliwack, in the downtown area.

The suspect carries a concealed weapon and often tries to cover his face, RCMP said.

Police are looking for a Caucasian male with a pale complexion and acne who is between five feet six inches to six feet, with a slender in build and wearing dark clothing.

The latest robbery is typical, police said.

Police say on March 23, around 5:30 p.m. PT a lone male carrying a concealed weapon and with his face covered went into a convenience store and demanded money from the cashier.

The suspect then ran away with the stolen cash.
