Kaitlyn Weaver, Andrew Poje earn bronze in ice dance

Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje earned bronze in the ice dance free program at the world figure skating championships in Shanghai on Friday.

It was the Canadian pair's first defeat of the 2014-15 season, following gold medal performances at the Grand Prix Final, the Canadian championships, and the Four Continents.

Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron of France took gold in the event, while Americans Madison Chock and Evan Bates placed second.

Weaver and Poje finished seventh at the 2014 Sochi Olympics and won silver and the world championships last year.
