The Most Outstanding Women Of 2015, According To AskMen

99 Women Who Are Kicking Butt In 2015

In 2015, women are much more than desirable — they're outstanding.

That shouldn't be a surprise to, well, anyone, but it did prompt men's website AskMen.com to change the focus of its annual list from a ranking that relied heavily on sexuality to look instead at accomplishments. This week, they released the results of "The Most Outstanding Women of 2015."

“This year's list is not only a reflection of a shift in the media, but also a shift in modern male thinking,” said publisher James Bassil in a press release. “We wanted to steer away from ‘hot’ lists and highlight women who have demonstrated a sheer influence in their industry. We were looking for women who are doing something new this year, something that demonstrates their versatility and raw talent.”

In order to ensure diversity in the fields covered, the publication looked to five other sites — Business Insider, Huffington Post Lifestyle, PCMag, Sports Illustrated, and Yahoo! Celebrity — to help create a list of 200 nominees.

We're happy to say, we agree with their picks, which includes quite a few Canadians, and places UN Women Goodwill Ambassador Emma Watson in the number one position. She is, after all, the woman who specifically invited men into the gender conversation on a grand scale, so who better to lead?

Take a look at the top 30 women on AskMen's list, and be sure to check out the rest of their picks here.
