Elizaveta Tuktamysheva wins gold in ladies free program

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva of Russia won gold in the ladies free program at the world figure skating championships in Shanghai, China on Saturday. 

Tuktamysheva earned 132.74 points for her performance and 210.36 in total to lock up first place. 

Satoko Miyahara of Japan placed second with a total score of 193.60, while Elena Radionova, also from Russia, took bronze with a total score of 191.47

Tuktamysheva had a huge lead after landing a triple axel in the short program and extended it further in the free skate to finish more than 15 points out in front.

Canadians Alaine Chartrand and Gabrielle Daleman finished 11th and 21st respectively.

Chartrand's accomplishment ensures Canada two spots at next year's world championships in Boston
