Toronto police are continuing a major search for a missing man in Scarborough on Wednesday evening.

Investigators say Minh Muc Ly, 58, was last seen this morning around 8 a.m. in the area of Birchmount Road and McNicoll Ave. — an area with several major parks as well as the hydro corridor.

Police set up a command post at Norman Bethune collegiate, and Det. Cheryl Jones is set to hold a 5:30 p.m. news conference to update the public on the search.

So far, police have only said that they are very concerned for his safety.

Ly is described as standing 5`3 and weighing around 120 pounds. He has grey hair and a grey moustache with brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a yellow jacket and light-grey pants.

Anyone with information about the investigation is asked to contact police.
