Woman forces driver out of SUV at gunpoint; dumps passenger with cerebral palsy

CALGARY - Police are investigating a violent carjacking at a Calgary mall.

A woman forced a driver out of a vehicle at gunpoint and sped off with a passenger inside.

The passenger, a 48-year-old woman with cerebral palsy, was forced out of the vehicle on a residential street a short time later.

The woman was assessed by EMS and determined to be OK.

Police are still trying to locate the carjacker, who is described as in her 30s, with a heavy build with long brown hair in a ponytail, wearing a grey hoodie, grey winter jacket with fur-lined hood, black pants and brown shoes.

The vehicle is a blue 2007 Toyota RAV4 with Alberta license plate ZSK727.
