Woman robs Burlington comic book store with hammer, police say

Halton police are looking for a suspect who they say robbed a Burlington comic book store with a hammer Friday night.

The female suspect went to Conspiracy Comics, located at 2388 Fairview St., around 7:58 p.m. and made a small purchase, according to police. She then brandished a hammer and demanded money from the store employee before running away.

The employee was not injured, police said.

The suspect is described as a white woman who is between 20 to 30 years old and 5-5'' to 5-6'' with a slender build. She has a stud piercing under her lower lip.

She was wearing a grey hooded sweater, light-blue jeans, a dark toque, a black knapsack and dark-coloured skater shoes.
