CALGARY - Police have charged a man with asking a child to touch him sexually at a local private dayhome in Calgary.

The assault was reported to police in March after a four-year-old girl told her parents she was asked to fondle a man while at a dayhome in the city's northeast.

It's alleged to have taken place between September 2014 and the end of February.

The man lives in the home but is not childcare worker.

Police say the operator of the dayhome knows the accused and is being unco-operative with investigators.

Christopher Donald Colborne, who is 40, is charged with invitation to sexual touching with a child under 16 and sexual interference.
