The Blue Jays announced Wednesday that new security measures will be in place for next Monday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
The new regulations implemented by Major League Baseball require each club to use metal detectors or walk-through magnetometers at all entrances.
In a release, the Jays advised that cellphones, keys or other metal objects must be placed in bowls before passing through the detectors. Electronics such as tablets and cameras need to be given to a security officer for manual inspection.
The team said fans do not have to remove their belts or shoes, and that the club's bag policy remains unchanged.
The new security measures are being implemented at all 30 major-league ballparks.Suggest a correction
