Ryan Reynolds victim of apparent hit and run in Vancouver

Actor Ryan Reynolds was the victim of a hit and run in the parking lot of the Shangri-la hotel, Vancouver police said Sunday.

Const. Brian Montague said he could not provide much detail.

"I can confirm we attended and investigated the hit and run in the parking lot on Friday and there were no injuries," he wrote in a email.

"Unfortunately I have not been given an update and don't know the outcome or how things have progressed with confirming who the driver is."

Montague said he did not know whether police had managed to locate the driver of the car or speak to him, so he could not say whether the driver would be facing charges.

Showing he hasn't lost his sense of humour, Vancouver-born Reynolds tweeted this when CBC reporter Richard Zussman asked him to call:
