Alberta leaders begin second week of campaigning for May 5 provincial election

EDMONTON - Fresh off a rally in Edmonton yesterday, Alberta's NDP Leader will announce her party's health policy in Edmonton today as provincial party leaders enter the second week of the Alberta election campaign.

Progressive Conservative Leader Jim Prentice and Wildrose Leader Brian Jean had quiet days yesterday but will resume campaigning for the May 5 vote on different ends of the province today.

Prentice speaks at the Calgary Metropolitan Centre at noon, and then heads to campaign stops in Airdrie and Three Hills before resting for the night in Edmonton.

Jean starts his day north in Grande Prairie for photo opportunities with Wildrose candidates there and at other stops in the region, including one by the giant bee in Fahler.

He then heads towards Edmonton for an evening campaign event in Neerlandia.
