SkyWest Flight 5622 makes emergency landing in Buffalo

A passenger jet made an emergency landing at Buffalo Niagara International Airport, after suffering a pressurization problem, according to U.S. federal aviation authorities.

One passenger fell ill and lost consciousness onboard the Hartford, Conn.-bound SkyWest Flight 5622, which took off from Chicago on Wednesday morning, NBC News reported.

The network had originally reported that a door on the plane had opened and that several passengers lost consciousness.

SkyWest said via Twitter there was "no problem" with the door and that the other 75 passengers were being "accommodated."

After declaring an emergency, the pilots managed to land the flight safely in Buffalo at 11:38 a.m. ET, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.
