DELTA, B.C. - A small plane has crashed on a highway in the Vancouver suburb of Delta.

Local television shows images of the aircraft with its nose against the centre concrete median on Highway 91.

Delta police say nobody was injured in the crash and they don't yet know where the plane came from or where it was heading.

Police also say the cause of the crash is not yet known.

The Ministry of Transportation's DriveBC website says southbound lanes of the highway are closed between 72 and 64 Avenues.

There is no estimate when those lanes will reopen.
