EDMONTON - NDP Leader Rachel Notley and PC Leader Jim Prentice's paths could awkwardly collide in northwestern Alberta during provincial election campaigning today.

Prentice starts Monday with remarks at Weyerhaeuser in Grande Prairie, and then makes stops north in Rycroft and Fairview before another early afternoon stop at local candidate Everett McDonald's campaign office in Grande Prairie.

Notley will speak at the Unifor Prairie Regional Council in Edmonton in the morning, but will be in Grande Prairie in the afternoon for a meet-and-greet at the Montrose Cultural Centre.

Her last event of the day will be an evening speech to supporters in her hometown of Fairview, while Prentice will participate in an evening telephone town hall for Calgary constituencies.

Wildrose Leader Brian Jean will be in northeastern Alberta today, discussing supports for the classroom in Fort McMurray this morning before attending a meet-and-greet at Bonnyville-Cold Lake candidate Scott Cyr's campaign office in the afternoon.

Alberta Party Leader Greg Clark will be on a morning TV show in Edmonton and will campaign in the city for the rest of the day.
