Warmer weather

This morning is cloudy and about 5 C during the morning rush hour. The expected high on the day is 18 C with a mix of sun and cloud. Enjoy the nice weather as its expected to rain tomorrow. 

Transit

Both the TTC and GO Transit are moving well this morning so far. Some early trips on GO's Lakeshore East line have been cancelled due to an equipment malfunction. 

Toronto Pearson airport and Billy Bishop airport downtown are reporting that air traffic is moving on time. 

Ghomeshi lawyer in court

Lawyers for former CBC Rado host Jian Ghomeshi are expected to be in court today to continue the judicial pretrial. He faces seven counts of sexual assault and one of overcoming resistance by choking.

His lawyer has said he will plead not guilty to all charges.

New grand marshal

David Furnish is returning to his hometown to serve as grand marshal of Toronto's Pride parade.

Furnish is a producer and philanthropist who is married to Elton John and shares two young sons with the music legend.

He also chairs the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Blue Jays fall to Red Sox

They Jays lost 6-5 to the Red Sox at Fenway Park in Boston last night after holding two three-run leads throughout the game. The loss drops the Jays to 9-11 on the season. 

And Wizards forward and Toronto agitator Paul Pierce is very proud of that.
