Gregor Robertson Puts Vancouver House Up For Sale (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

Gregor Robertson listed his home for $1.8 million after splitting amicably with his wife.

Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson has listed his home, located near a controversial bike lane, for almost $1.8 million.

The three-level house — just half a block from the beach — hit the market on Monday.

Robertson and his then-wife, Amy, bought the home in 2013 for $1,575,000 after their children graduated from high school.

The purchase happened as city council was contemplating a bike lane that would close a section of Point Grey Road to traffic. Robertson abstained from the vote out of an "abundance of caution," his office said at the time, even though there was no legal conflict of interest.

The divisive proposal was ultimately approved, and the bike lane has become a selling feature for the affluent homes on that stretch of road.

The current list price of the mayor's house is $223,000 more than what the Robertsons originally paid.

The 1,665 sq.-ft. duplex on Stephens Street was renovated in 2007, according to the listing. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom home has a roof deck with ocean and mountain views, as well as a backyard hot tub.

The couple split amicably in 2014 after almost 30 years together. Robertson moved to a downtown Vancouver condo, and is currently dating Chinese pop star Wanting Qu.
