Terrebonne, Que. shooting leaves man using wheelchair dead

A man in his 50s using a wheelchair was reportedly shot to death last night in Terrebonne, Que.

Police say it happened on Yves-Blais Street, not far from Pierre-le-Gardeur hospital around 10:30 Wednesday night.

According to police, the man was approached by one or more suspects and was hit by at least one gunshot. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Local police have transferred the investigation to Quebec's provincial police.

A source told CBC Reporter Elias Abboud that the victim was known to police.
