May-December relationships stay the course when it comes to on-screen romances.
In the video above, Buzzfeed looks at the age gaps between five on-screen romantic leads — including one pair that's married in real life — and the range might surprise you. From 17 to 32-year gaps, the older man/younger woman stereotype seems to be a never-ending trend in Tinseltown.
But researchers say that might foreshadow problems, as the bigger the age gap, the shorter the marriage, with odds of divorce increasing from 18 to 39 per cent between 5 and 10 year gaps, the Atlantic reports.
So what's the ideal gap to make your marriage last? Based on a survey of 2,000 adults the perfect age gap is four years and four months, Female First reports. But when it comes down to it, all relationships depend on plenty of factors, so don't put too much stock into that.
Watch the video above, and tell us, which age gaps did you guess correctly? And what do you think is the ideal age gap between couples?
