Edmonton Eskimos Mock The Calgary Flames After Loss To Anaheim

And the irony is lost on no one...

A longstanding rivalry between Calgary and Edmonton took a turn into some pretty nasty territory last night, after a Twitter account belonging to the Edmonton Eskimos openly mocked Calgary fans moments after the Flames were ousted from the Stanley Cup playoffs.

"#QuackQuackQuack @calstampeders @NHLFlames," the Eskimos tweeted at the Calgary Flames and Calgary Stampeders Twitter accounts, referencing the overtime loss at the hands of the Anaheim Ducks in game five of the second round series.

Calgary fans were not impressed with the mocking, to say the least. And many Edmonton sports fans were embarrassed by the tweet. Check out some of the reactions:
