Saskatchewan's acting provincial auditor officially appointed to the post

SASKATOON - The woman who has been Saskatchewan's acting provincial auditor since the fall of 2013 has now been officially appointed to the post.

Speaker Dan D'Autremont made the official announcement in the legislature Thursday, saying that Judy Ferguson was appointed on the unanimous recommendation of the Standing Committee of Public Accounts.

She officially takes office June 1.

The provincial auditor's office gives independent advice on the management, governance, and effective use of public resources.
