Five fire trucks and 20 firefighters were at the Scarborough Bluffs to rescue a 14-year-old girl stuck on a cliff on Monday.

The girl was reported to be six metres down the cliff, near the Grey Abbey Trail.

The fire crews performed a rope rescue to get the stranded girl out. They raised her up safely in a basket, in what is known as a high-angle rescue.

She is now safe.
