Ismail Taher, who is 37, has been given one year of probation and ordered to take counselling.
He must also pay $5,000 in restitution.
Taher was found guilty of touching the buttocks and massaging the breasts of a 19-year-old woman, who saw him at a Sherwood Park clinic over concerns about a nose-piercing and a tattoo.
The doctor continues to practice, but the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta says he must be chaperoned when examining female patients, or those under the age of 16.
Taher will return to court in November to face allegations that he sexually assaulted two other women. (CHED, The Canadian Press)
