Man pulled from Lake Ontario dies

A man pulled from Lake Ontario Sunday morning has died.

Firefighters arrived on scene on Lake Shore Boulevard near Jameson Avenue shortly before 9 a.m. ET.

They found the man without vital signs and rushed him to hospital.

Firefighters were set to apply continuous chest compressions — a process than can take up to ten hours — but the man was pronounced dead around 11 a.m. ET.

It's unclear how the man ended up in the lake.
