A man believed to have been attending a rave in Stanley Park fell to his death early Sunday, said Vancouver police.

The body of the 23-year-old man was found on the seawall around 4:20 a.m., said Const. Brian Montague in a news release.

Montague said the man was likely at a rave held in a secluded area of the park along Merilees Trail above Siwash Rock, when he plunged down the cliff to his death.

"At this time the death appears to be accidental," said Montague.

Investigators continue to speak with potential witnesses, as officials work to determine the man's cause of death and if alcohol or drugs played a role.
