Mayor Gregor Robertson's House Sells For $1.98 Million

It was on the market for less than a month.

Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson's Kitsilano home that sits near a controversial bike lane has sold for nearly $2 million.

The three-level house with ocean views sold after three weeks on the market for $1.98 million, according to Metro News.

That's $182,000 over asking, which means the Robertsons made a profit of $405,000.

The mayor bought the home for $1,575,000 in 2013 with his then-wife, Amy. The couple separated amicably a year later.

When the couple first bought the house, city council was deciding on a bike lane that would cut off traffic on part of Point Grey Road. The mayor abstained from the vote, although it was eventually approved. The lane reportedly became a selling feature for homes in the area.
