Congratulations Keira Knightley! The British actress welcomed her first child with husband James Righton, reports E! News. The baby’s name and gender have not yet been revealed.
It was confirmed in December 2014 that the 30-year-old actress was expecting. During her pregnancy, Knightley rarely discussed her baby-to-be, however, she did make an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in February where she joked that her birth plan was to just “get it out.”
Knightley also revealed that the couple decided to keep the sex of their baby a surprise. While there’s no word yet on whether they welcomed a boy or a girl, the “Imitation Game” star admitted her fear of having a boy.
On “Ellen,” the actress explained: “Somebody said to me the other day, the problem with boys is — sorry, this is horrible — but when you’re changing their nappies, you can get the wee in your face.”
Knightley married her musician husband in France in 2013. While the two will likely keep a low profile for the next little while, we can only hope we’ll get to see their little bundle of joy sooner than later!
