Two Albertans charged with assault in small Ontario town last summer

BANCROFT, Ont. - Two people from Alberta have been charged in an assault in the small Ontario community of Maynooth last August.

Ontario Provincial Police say a man and a woman were in the front yard of a home when they were attacked with unidentified weapons.

A few days later, two Bancroft-area residents, Melissa Kane, 29, and Andy Rivers, 31, were charged. They are still before the courts.

OPP officials said Todd Galway, 27, and Lisa Brown, 40, both of St. Albert, Alta., surrendered at the detachment office on Thursday.

Both have been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief under $5,000.
