Man facing 56 charges for alleged apartment storage locker thefts

Police have laid 56 charges against a man they say stole from storage room lockers in east end apartments.

They say that during the past six months, the suspect entered apartment buildings and "stole a quantity of contents from each of the lockers."

The man was arrested last week and faces numerous charges, including 45 counts of break-and-enter and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police say the following addresses were targeted:
10 Mendelssohn Street, Toronto
757 Victoria Park Avenue, Toronto
1080 Kingston Road, Toronto
3520 Danforth Avenue, Toronto
1004 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto
2250 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto

They are inviting anyone who reported a theft in those buildings to visit 41 Division, at 2222 Eglinton Avenue East, between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET today to view the recovered property and to claim their belongings.
